Available employees are expected to contact their home office each week.
Call on the first day of each new assignment to give us an extension where you can
be reached.
If you are unable to report to work or expect to be late, call our office immediately. You will receive the voicemail which can be connected to the answering service if you call after hours.
Call our office immediately if you are injured on the job.
When your assignment is complete, contact your home office.
If the client contacts you directly for employment, contact us immediately.
If your job status changes, please contact your home office.
- Payroll Procedures
Timecards are due to your branch office by Monday at 5:00pm.
Timecards can be submitted by mail, drop off or WebCenter.
If you need a timecard you can request to have one faxed or mailed to you or you
can download from our website.
NSR pay days vary by branch location from Wednesday through Friday.
Paychecks are available after 12:30 pm on your scheduled pay day.
You may pick up your paycheck or have it mailed to your home address.
If you requested direct deposit, it will be processed the same day as payroll.
- Direct Deposit
The first direct deposit will take 2-3 payroll cycles to process.
Pay stubs will no longer be mailed once direct deposit is in effect.
Employees can access their payroll history on NSR’s WebCenter. Please contact your
Recruiter for access to WebCenter.
- Debit Card Account
The payroll card account offers you a debit card to access your money from your
paycheck.
- Payroll Issues
Replacement checks can be issued after 10 business days from date of the original
check.
An employee will receive no more than two advance checks per year.
Advance checks are issued at 70% gross amount of earnings to date per week. The
remainder is paid following the pay period.
W-2s are mailed out by January 31st each year.
- Paid Time Off (PTO)
Employees are eligible for 40 hours of PTO after 1000 hours worked.
Employees may request in eight hour increments up to 40 hours.
The PTO request must be submitted on a separate timecard or through WebCenter.
The hourly rate of PTO is based on the average paid over the 1000 hours.
Hours will accrue towards the 1000 hours unless there is no employment with NSR
for more than 12 months.
- Holiday Pay
Employees are eligible for six holidays per year after 1000 hours of work.
- New Year’s Day
- Memorial Day
- July 4th
- Labor Day
- Thanksgiving Day
- Christmas Day
Employees must also work at least 24 hours the week of the holiday.
Holiday rate is paid out at the current rate of job assignment.
Holiday pay request must be submitted on a separate timecard or through WebCenter
within two weeks of the holiday.
- 401(k) Retirement Plan
Employees who are at least 21 years old are eligible to enroll after working 1000
hours and have worked one year of service through Northwest Staffing Resources.
Enrollment is quarterly.
- WebCenter
Your Recruiter will send you a link to sign up for WebCenter if you enroll for direct
deposit or if the client you are working for utilizes the Web Center for timecard
entry.
Only those employees who are working for a client who utilizes the Web Center for
timecard processing can enter hours online.
In WebCenter, employees have access to the following: message summary board, jobs
you have been assigned to, payroll history, timecard entry, paystubs and entering
a timecard.
When the timecard is created, it will be sent to the supervisor to wait for approval.
Once the timecard is approved by the supervisor, the hours will be processed.
- Medical, Dental and Vision Insurance/Short
Term Disability/Term Life Insurance
Employees are eligible for enrollment at their own cost.
Employees must enroll within thirty days of their first assignment with NSR or
during open enrollment.
The premium is deducted pre-tax and weekly.

- Referral Bonus
Employees will receive a bonus if you refer an employee to Northwest Staffing Resources.

- 24 Hour Fitness Membership
Employees can enroll at 24 Hour Fitness at a discounted rate by presenting your
pay stub.
- Scholarship Program
Three $1000 scholarships are awarded each year to working students who work for
Northwest Staffing Resources.
To be eligible, employees must be enrolled full time in a two or four year degree
program Spring and Fall term, worked 240 hours between May 1 - September 30, have
a cumulative 3.0 GPA average, receive positive client evaluations and submit a 500
word essay stating the lessons and benefits you have learned from working for a
staffing service.

- Safety
Notify NSR if you are asked to perform any duties outside the specific assignment.
Notify NSR immediately if any supervisor at your job assignment directs you to perform
any act that conflicts with our safety standards.
Never lift over 50 lbs without permission from NSR.
Do not operate any machine or equipment unless you are authorized by your supervisor
and NSR.
You may be assigned certain Personal Protection Safety Equipment (PPE) which should
be worn or used when required.
Driving on the job and operating forklifts is strictly prohibited.
- Job Injuries
Report all injuries to NSR immediately, even if you do not believe you need medical
treatment.
An injured employee will need to obtain a physician’s release for regular, modified
or no duty and delivered to NSR within 24 hours.
Employees who are temporarily unable to work due to injury are required to report
their status to NSR immediately after each physician’s visit.
NSR will attempt to provide the employee with modified work until they are able
to resume their regular duties.
- Jury Duty
An employee who is summoned for jury duty must present the jury duty summons or
court subpoena to your Recruiter.
The company does not provide jury duty pay.
- Family and Medical Leave Eligibility
Employees are eligible if they have been employed with NSR at least 180 days before
the first day of the family and medical leave and have worked an average of 25 or
more hours per week for NSR.
