Prospective employees complete a very thorough application process before being considered for hire with Northwest Staffing Resources. Only those applicants who have high test scores, low risk Insight results, strong references and a pleasant, professional attitude will be considered qualified to work for NSR.

Our application process includes:

All of our applicants complete our thorough application, which includes employment history, skills, NSR Hiring Standards, our Drug & Alcohol Policy and our Background & Credit Check Policy. All applicants must agree to follow these policies. We provide all applicants a copy of the "NSR Handbook for Temporary Employees." Applicants are given a battery of written and hands-on skill tests to ensure their level of competency for the position they seek. Our ProveIt! testing program is an interactive, hands-on skill evaluation. ProveIt! also offers tutorials for our temporary employees looking to improve their software skills in a certain program. Applicants take the Insight Worldwide Applicant Survey. This survey provides a background profile designed to determine an individual's propensity toward substance abuse, theft, violence, dependability and workers compensation fraud. The survey will highlight any unacceptable behaviors. After the paperwork and testing are complete, applicants meet with a Recruiter for a final determination of skill level, discussion of work history, explanation of pay system and job location preferences. During this interview, we assess the candidate’s attitude toward work, desire to fulfill their employment requirements and commitment to our high job performance standards. Applicants are shown a safety video and are tested on their comprehension. Our Return-to-Work Program and hazardous materials handling are also discussed. NSR is very proactive in ensuring the safety of all temporary employees as well as permanent NSR and client employees. Our staff verifies three previous job references prior to final approval for employing the new applicant.
